JAMES EVANS are nostalgic, golden era, themed events, targeting a demographic of educated, urban men and women, who love late 80’s to 2000’s Hip Hop and R&B.
In the past, we have featured artist such as Big Daddy Kane, KRS-ONE, Kool DJ Red Alert, Kid Capri, Greg Nice, Chubb Rock, and even Bernadette Stanis aka “Thelma” from the hit tv show GOOD TIMES at our JAMES EVANS events.

Every venue felt the same. The crowds didn’t interact. People weren't dancing. Parties weren’t fun anymore. So, in 2013, Capital B Events created the JAMES EVANS brand, to fill the void of boring events that lacked personality and interaction. We wanted to make events fun again!
